Navelina and Clemenvilla
It is an early orange belonging to the Navel family- a large orange with an apparent navel. Its skin is slightly rough, and its color varies from yellowish orange to strong orange. It has juicy pulp and excellent flavor, with no seeds, such that it can be served at the table and also used to make juice. It keeps for 20 to 30 days in a place that is cool, dry, and away from direct sunlight.
It is harvested from mid-November until the end of January.
Our winter mandarin is the type Clemenville, also known as mandarin Nova. It has smooth and fine skin with a bright orange almost reddish color. Its average size and weight are larger than most of the mandarins. It is usually seedless although they can appear from cross-pollination. Many people consider this a delicacy among mandarins for its excellent flavor, fine tow and high quantity of juice, although it is harder to peal than other mandarins. A wonderful orange to serve at the table although it can also be used for juice. Once harvested, it keeps better and longer than other mandarins, up to 20 or 30 days in a place that is cool, dry, and away from direct sunlight.
It is harvested from the begining of December to the middle of January
